FIRST VISIT: INITIAL CONSULTATION
We love our patients and are excited to see you at your initial consultation! All new patients start with a free individualized consultation. During your consultation, you’ll get a chance to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, and receive a comprehensive initial exam so that you can learn about the different orthodontic treatment options available that best fit your needs.
During your initial consultation Dr. Sirena and her team will:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Provide a complete oral examination with photos and digital x-rays (if needed) to determine whether treatment is necessary.
- Explain our findings, discuss your treatment options, and provide you with an estimate of how long the treatment might take and how much it will cost.
- Help you create a customized treatment plan
- Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plan options
Quite often, if a patient is ready and excited to get started, we can arrange our office schedule to let you begin treatment that day.
SECOND VISIT: STARTING TREATMENT
After your initial consultation, we will schedule your first appointment to get started with braces or Invisalign. This appointment generally takes between 1-2 hours depending on your specific treatment plan. Dr. Sirena and her team want to make sure that you feel comfortable and in control as we get started straightening your teeth. That’s why we love answering questions and explaining each step of the way so that you always know what to expect.
REGULAR APPOINTMENTS
After starting your orthodontic treatment, it’s important to come see us every 4 -8 weeks so that we can continually make adjustments to keep your teeth moving. We want your appointments to be as convenient as possible, so please let us know what days and times work best for you.
We understand that sometimes things come up that are out of your control. If you’re running late or need to reschedule, give our friendly front desk a call (we would be grateful for a 24 hour heads-up if possible) and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
VISITING YOUR GENERAL DENTIST DURING ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT
During your orthodontic treatment, it is vital that you continue visiting your regular dentist for your routine check-ups and cleanings every 6 months. If necessary, we can coordinate with your regular dentist if you need extraTLC to make sure your teeth stay clean and healthy.
